    Allen.... Atrocious.

    Lovren...... Disgrace.

Sterling..... For all that potential, wasteful and I'm being kind... Still think he has something to offer in a team worthy.

    BR....WTF?

Just home, had plenty of time to reflect on that game and vans think of any more to say at present.

No10's, we had how many? They had one and goal scored.
More to say but pissed and fat fingered along with angry so will leave at that for now.

I think the time will come soon when FSG will have had enough......and if they can identify their preferred new choice of manager to take us forward, and give him a few months as manager to assess the squad properly - then maybe we can build for next season.

I think if we got Rafa back then he could win us the europa and get us into the CL next year via that.

If Benitez ever did come back, i can't see Gerrard being at the club....... i cant see rafa being headhunted by FSG either to be honest....not enough of a year man....
FSG are no fools. I'd be very surprised if they weren't already in contact with Rodgers' possible successors

The first goal was criminal yesterday where was Moreno and Allen and Lallana allowing Valencia to walk past them, I mean Valencia looked world class down the right for them yesterday, he's anything but world class! And the lack of tracking from Coutinho

Sterling tried hard and could and should have had a couple but I think it showed that he's not quite ready to play up top a certain Cristiano Ronaldo was much the same at his age (I'm not saying he'll develop to his level) though so it's not entirely unexpected and likely why Rodgers hadn't played him there before.

The less said of Lovren the better

For all the **** that the players are getting the main issue for me isn't a lack of quality it is a lack of organisation. For everyone calling for a new manager, be it any one from Rafa to Pullis, the thing they have in common is they are capable of organising a team or defence. Pick whichever cliché you like 'the best way to win games is to stop losing them', 'Build from the back' etc. If we were able to keep things tight at the back we would be in a much better position and winning a lot more games (or at the very least not losing them). We have conceded 22 PL goals in 16 games and the opposition haven't really had to work for most of them. If we can get someone to organise/marshal the defence so that we at least have defenders in the right places that would be a start, rather than 'clear' the ball to an opposition player 10-15 yards away just put it out of play, these are simple things that our players should be more than capable of.

We need to go back to basics get in the right positions, try and hold up opposition players until we get support rather than diving in, tracking your man, not all being drawn towards the ball, look before playing the ball and safety first kick the ball out of play when you need to.

Whether we need a new manager, new coach, a defensive co-ordinator, new centre back or whatever. FFS lets just do it.

If we have a fairly solid defence we at least give the attacking players a chance of winning the game for us. While we don't have the fire power of last year we should at least be able to get a goal or 2 in most games and keeping it tight at the back would give us a chance to get points
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Shambolic management - that is the tale of the game.

That Man U side were absolutely terrible but still managed to win 3-0. Go figure.

Such a lack of belief in the side. Like a wounded animal. You can just see a goal coming after every mistake.

We started with a bit of intention but that soon fizzled out. I think the main problem we have now is that we need to start from scratch but a lot of these players aren't used to grafting. If we're going to press hard first five minutes, we've got to carry on doing it until we score, at least.

We need to put the fear back into the opponents again and the only way to do that is by hard work (done intelligently, of course!).

Excellent keeper, clinical forwards. It was frequently the backbone of Ferguson's sides.

Too often we've only had one (usually fragile) forward of note and/or a dodgy keeper over the years.

Sometimes I think people are just waiting for every manager we appoint to have a bad run, so they can call for Rafa to be installed again. Every time we hit the skids, let's get Rafa back in. He still lives here you know?

We'd be defensively more solid, but we'd never ever have a shot at winning the league. Defensive teams never win the league. Teams that concede goals, but make up for it in spades by scoring at will. Those teams win leagues. United have done it for years. Our rivals have money to burn and are always going to get better players in every position than us. So if we play exactly like you want, then we are trying to play like every other team in the league. Yes, we'd concede less goals, but you are back to Hodgson and Houllier. **** that. I'd rather try to replicate last years team, be prepared to concede goals, but we blow them out of the water with firepower.

I'm not talking about winning the league I'm more looking at just regaining some self respect. As for Man Utd their success has varied some seasons they have conceded as few as 25 goals and won the league others they have conceded as many as 45. They are always a team capable of scoring, IIRC when they concede a lot they have been in a tight battle for the league when they don't they have typically walked the league

Its all about goals and a decent keeper. **** the rest. There isn't a world class centre half in football these days. Kompany is the best here and he wouldn't get in any top defenders list from the last 50 years.
