Would not go with too weak a team. Think I would use it as a way to give the back line another game to gel, and maybe give guys like Markovic and Can a start in their preferred positions

Yeah rest Sterling. Start Markovic. I'd also possibly give Ojo his first start too. Other than that we'll need to be near full strength or risk a giantkilling here. They will be well up for this.

I just popped him in due to him being more mobile than Balotelli or Lambert and as a result he might help create space for one of the other attackers to take advantage of.

Plus with a pair of hard men red card magnets like him and Markovic on the pitch we would put the ****s up AFC Wimbledon

You'd effectively throw this game when we badly need to win a trophy? No chance.

We have the league cup and the europa league to fight for. Were also struggling in the league and don't even have Sturridge back fit yet. I would not risk burning out Coutinho, Lallana and Sterling etc. With Gerrard not on top form I don't see the point in risking Lucas and Henderson either. Rest them all for the league next weekend.

Kolo went down holding his knee at the start of game yesterday so I don't see the point in risking him either. For me Monday isn't an important game. Change it up

I don't like the league cup cos its essentially extra matches mid week between two league games. I don't mind the FA cup because it takes place at the weekends instead of league games so I hope we go for it. We need a trophy this season to end the gloom.

Think the 4th round falls between the 2 League cup Semi's though so not ideal.
