great to see us win, and clean sheets are always a bonus at my age too.

shame we couldnt do more to add to the lead to make it more comfortable.
its not like we were closing out the game for a safe 1-0 win, they were still having chances to take two points off us. a better team wouldnt let us piss about like this.

marko, cout and lucas were the stand out positives. can also decent. so good to see gerrard having cuddles in the tunnel at the end.

Sounds just like the kind of game i'd have loved to watch with this first half performance. But it is typical of us to look completely different in the second. I went to my client at 2pm with the game at HT 1-0 up not knowing what to expect...just didnt want a loss. Came to see it finished 1-0 & not much else happened lol but clean sheet, 3 points is what truley matters. The performance, of Markovic & Coutinho in particular, by the tweets on my timeline are an added bonus to todays result

We bossed it from what I saw and could have been 3/4, I thought Borini lacked quality in the box but his movement helped us massively at times, he gave us space to run into and played in behind as well as coming short.

The first few mins were ok, but Sunderland upped their level when they went down to 10. Also we took Gerrard off for Lovren at half time and took Borini off later for Balotelli which changed the set-up and the way we played, which didn't help.
