Sunderland were so poor today Mig and the back three were barely troubled but despite that they gave the impression of being a bit more organised. God forbid BR has done a bit of work with them on the training ground.
Thought we played well despite missing Raheem. Borini for all his non-league ****eness (honestly wouldn't get into my 5 aside team) he offered some movement up front to create space for Coutinho and Markovic to operate. There was a marked change of picture when Balotelli arrived and Coutinho almost kept running into him just standing there.
Can looked good in defence and in midfield.
Most surprising was seeing Gerrard subbed at half time. What's up with the 'injury'? Is this the start of Gerrard's 'game management' Brendan and him talked about? I'm not calling it a conspiracy by the way. Just want to know what the deal was with the sub/injury today.

I used to love the Singapore brewed Tiger but it tastes rubbish now its made over here.
We get Tiger from Singapore here in Thailand and it's ****ing horrible, easily the worst bottled lager available in Thailand. Admittedly 90% of lager is **** wherever it's from, but Tiger plumbs new depths.
One of the big things about going back to the UK is the chance to drink proper beer rather than **** Asian lager

IMO **** Asian lager is considerably better than **** English lager - i.e. at least it tastes of something; but yes, give me a proper pint every time.
Can you not get any of the decent Japanese lagers out there? Kirin, Asahi etc
Very rarely. The most popular beer is Leo, made by the same people who make Singha (also popular). There's also Chang, but I obviously won't drink it as they sponsor Everton.
Tiger Light is a lot nicer than normal Tiger and San Miguel Light is also very popular.
I mostly stick to Leo but if I see it I go for Beerlao which, as the name suggests, is imported from Laos, about an hour and a half's drive from here. Their basic beer actually has taste and character, which are scientifically removed at source from the other beers here. There's also a dark Beerlao which is similar in colour to an English bitter. Both Beerlao drinks are worth trying.
I'm popping over to Laos for the weekend. The capital, Vientiane, is just over the border. I'm looking forward to plenty of Beerlao at rock-bottom prices. Laos, being a communist country, is dirt poor so everything costs just pennies
