Excellent away win and another clean sheet which looked unlikely for a while, Can and Sakho very good there, Skrtel immense. Mig very good too, some super stops in there. Hendo and Lucas work well together. Good goal from Borini and decent movement from him but in general he's ****ing awful in front of goal. Delighted for Rickie too, really needed that goal and it was a great finish.

Put Sturridge in there and we'll be hard to stop.

Great 3 points, should shave won by more and put ourselves under a wee bit of pressure by not taking our chances in the first half. Backline looks superb, Sakho & Can doing well in the wider areas & Skrtel has been immense once again.

Markovic look shade for the wing back position and works so well with Can, Moreno IMO needs to communicate more with Sakho... gets caught up the pitch too much. Lucas & Hendo great again.

Lallana back & hopefully Sturridge back... things are looking good just unlucky to not have clawed back some points on Spurs & United.

Great result. Coutinho is frustrating at the moment, think he may be a little jaded, as is Sterling who needs to step back and simplify his game. Would like to see Gerrard, Markovic and Ibe behind Borini in the next one

Should have killed them off when Sterling (who wasn't really at the races) should have slotted it away rather than a fanciful chip. Villa came right back at us in the 2nd and we did excellently to keep calm and cling on. great timing for Lambert to score. Excellent finish too. Well in. Good team performance.

Coutinho shows magical touches and passes but is consistently inconsistent....Sterling well now needs to develop his game and take it to the next level,but take into account he's still young,and or next game is The fa Cup game v Bolton

Got to give Brendan some credit 14 points from our last 6 games is good work and we've managed to keep ourselves in and around the top 4.
