Great win and a huge step in the right direction considering Villa have gotten the better of us the past few seasons.

We really look like we have turned a corner.

Sturridge back hopefully at the end of the month will be a big boost

Sturridge's injury has had a big impact on the team and not just from the goals aspect,Indeed i'm thinking of ordering some Mary Berry's Humble Pie[Thinking]

Yup it's really had a knock on to how we play this season and its taken Brendan a while to figure things out.

A good performance by nearly everyone today.

Keepers done well. Back 3 were good. Only players slightly off today were Moreno getting caught out up the pitch at times & Sterling for his shooting. But that's being picky really.

Very pleased to get 3 points & keep a clean sheet against Benteke who always causes us problems.

With Sturridge back soon and Origi hopefully joining this month, the second half of the season looks good.

We've found a defensive combination that works, new boys are settled, Gerrard and Sterling getting rest and fresh legs coming in. We're on the march.

I jumped in on 55mins as had been at work. I heard we played well first half. But there was a 15-20 minute spell in that second half where Villa should have scored on at least 2-3 occasions. I think we are much improved of late, but we should not be wilting during a game like that. A decent team would have punished us. Thankfully Villa have scored like 11 goals in 22 games and you can see why.

Great result though and yet another clean sheet on the road.

Is the steward getting ready to cup Lucas's ballbag?

Lucas has been the catalyst in our revival. Player of the season so far IMO.

Always nice to beat them horrible cunts, **** accent, **** team, **** club, **** style of football, **** fans who seem to think calling us "Liverplop" is hilarious. **** cunts.

Getting pretty optimistic we can win the Europa League if our quest for top 4 fails. Hard to believe after the mess we made of the CL but we are a different team now. And Gerrard is bound to leave us with something special!

Absolutely ****ing loved that Lambert goal and celebration. When we were struggling a big miss from last season was the team spirit, it was clear to see - but they look unified again and the celebrations were ****ing brilliant.
