Henry and Drogba made Carra look like ****e a few times. Can got took to the cleaners by first Cesc then Hazard. Hardly liked he was getting tore to pieces by a league two player. And in fairness, he only made the two mistakes all game the build up and the foul.

Other times I remember using his body to shield Hazard and rampaging runs into the opposition third. Good performance tbh, though of course in the big games it's small details.

Uncalled for from Carra, as you say, made a fool of a few times himself in his prime, the kid is only 21 and out of position. It's like Sakho getting called on for every mistake, he's only 24. They are all still learning their trades.

Fair points, but then so were Carra's. He did say he is young, has been great so far and was playing against world class players today. I didn't take his words as overly critical.

Playing like this and we've got one of the better strikers in Europe to come back in who pretty much guarantees a goal a game.

Getting very confident we'll get CL next season whether it's via the league or Europa.

if we were that hyped up and aggressive every game we'd finish top four.

i hope brendan is making these lads realise this could be us turning a corner [way to jinx it, like] and give them some self belief to have the balls to go for the throat.

what a ****ing game. we didnt get the result, but i reckon the feeling of being so close to a big win will fire them up even more. we might get done at the chavs ground but hopefully the memory of fight we have shown will last longer than just till the next leg.

Only saw the last 20mins live..........more or less missed the bulk of the match, but will be replaying it, as we looked pretty ****ing good from what I saw towards the end, and judging by the stats we looked as though we were in total control for large swathes of the match.

Would I be right in not feeling the love for the result all the same..........great performance, but ultimately a very disappointing result ?

It's a game where if we go through it feels great. Even if we'd won tonight I'd have a lingering feeling that makes me not be delighted. Cup competitions are about progress in each round. The ONLY pleasing aspect was the performance. We're still in a building phase after such a poor start and it's nice to dominate the best in the country.

Tbh, tonight was a game where even with Sturridge I'm not sure we do much more. They congested the box and that's difficult fir a striker.

Sakhos distribution of the ball is excellent, always looking for a positive pass to set up attacks and this run in the team is really doing him good. Excellent player
