a great game for the neutral.

not a bad game for us either. so many positives. great pressing in the first half. positive attacking play nullified by some dodgy defending and even worst reffing.
our midfield was being bypassed for periods, can shored it up later on though.

our defence were excellent, the goalie too.

maybe brendan could have tinkered to drop a bit deeper to give us a more solid middle then hit them on the counter instead of it being so end to end. we were doing well but it always felt like we were conceding the possession too easily and unable to keep the ball at any stage.

Yes we had gaps in central midfield because we play with lots of width. We constantly exposed them down the flanks because they were all central. You cant do both. I thought we were more successful with our width because it stretches defences and opens up space for late runners.
