We might as well have not qualified for Europe this season, we didn't attract a single player as a result, and we've been humiliated.
One can only hope the experience stands players and manager in good stead.

One of those really close ones where if you pull it off you look like a mastermind. When you don't...... Oh dear. Personally think rodgers bossed it, but 2nd half they were in to us & it needed a change.

Devastated as we could've won this.
      Forwards.......

It was a crap game and they were deserving winners at the end of the day.

Not too disappointed but means we're out of another cup which is a shame. The team are a young team and they will learn from it.

That was a terrible game. Nobody comes out of it with any credit.

I gotta say fair play to that yard dog Kavlac or whatever he was called, he must have committed about 500 fouls but the ref wasn't biting.

Utd fans sound even more worried and disappointed about us losing than us.

Their one secret weapon to overcome us was, us. Being in Europe. Which we no longer are. So more time to prepare our high intensity pressing game and then more time for recovery.

There wasn't a bookable foul in the whole game though. Repeated fouling maybe, but there's point calling for cards to be given so softly really.

Lovren Defoe wasn't at fault for that. Fair play to the guy for stepping up. Felt sorry for him in the end. However he shouldn't have been allowed to take the 5th. Where was Sterling when volunteers were asked for? If he wants a £100k a week then he needs to step up.

Where was Toure who has taken them before. Totally the managers fault tonight as he waited until they scored to make a change when it was clear the goal was coming long before hand. We lost the midfield and he should have changed it earlier.

Rodgers allowed Lovren that high pressure pen and he shouldn't have been anywhere near it as his confidence is low and it's just been shattered tonight.

This season in Europe has been a total embarrassment.

Rodgers does look like a bit of an amateur when it comes to European games, has to be said.

Rodgers in game management is what cost us it's as simple as that. He took too long to change things. No tactical nous in Europe.

Yes and no, we would have won the tie in the first half if Sturridge and Sterling and to a lesser extent Mario played well, Studge in particular had a shocker. Thought we looked ok in the first half and you've got to give him credit for setting us up well, but as you say his game management in the second half was poor, too slow to react to their change of approach and then when he did make changes he made some odd ones.

The team coach is stuck in a massive traffic jam, flight home delayed. Gets better and better.
