If Sturridge is fit - he should definitely play. He's by far our best striker. Henderson's energy in midfield will also be important (Allen and Can looked knackered during the second half on Thursday). Having Coutinho back will also help.

Biggest concern is we run out of energy and get overrun in midfield. Subs (timing and personnel) could be crucial. No fear - Brendan has a good track record of making the right subs and the right time

If we hadn't played (away) on Thursday, I'd be confident of beating City. Not so sure now
    Another MASSIVE game

Daniel Sturridge on bench for Liverpool. Henderson, Lallana start.

Not confident on this one, we have too many injuries & Thursday night our players looked absolutely exhausted. We've been poor last 3 games.. mini slump only i hope.

I really think we needed to start with Sturridge I know we've got to be careful with him but he's a genuine game winner for us and we don't have too many that will get the goals for us.

Sakho not being available is a massive loss.

I think we will play very well, win 2-1 with 2 crackers from Hendo and Coutinho.

I was adamant there was no chance of victory, so I'm still on cloud 9. Its a good way to wake up in the mornings with this being the first memory coming into focus.

Feel exactly the same. Couldn't see a victory after having played ET on Thursday & then a delayed flight home. We need the 3 points v Burnley just as badly though.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
