I don't get all the complaining about 4 forwards on the bench. This front 3 have played when we've looked at our best this season. If we bring on a forward, Sterling drops back into midfield, so effectively it's like having an extra midfielder on the bench.
If we need to change at the back, Kolo comes on. If we need a change in midfield Kolo allows Can to push up, or Williams at a push. If we need to change at WB, bring a forward on, drop back Raheem or another attacking player. If we need to change any othe rposition, then any of the 4 forwards allows this. Who else do we need on the bench that is fit and available? If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

There are obviously still concerns about his fitness so why take the risk if there was a chance he'd miss today? Borini could have done a job on Thursday and we'd have a lot of a better chance todayOriginally posted by Muddled View PostWhilst you'd be right to ask why he was on for 105 minutes, I don't see how you can question why he started.Kurtangled in the McFadden thread 16/01/08

Perhaps this is a niggle he experienced during the game, playing on a **** surface? As Rodgers was prepared to rest Henderson and Coutinho, I imagine he would have been prepared to sacrifice Sturridge if he felt he wouldn't be fit for today.Originally posted by Gazzla View PostThere are obviously still concerns about his fitness so why take the risk if there was a chance he'd miss today? If Borini had started on Thursday Rodgers would have been hammered on here. "Coward giving up on a chance of a trophy" "CL qualification at stake and we forfeited" etc. He just cant win with some. I guess it's a lot of built up frustration for those people at having to hold their thoughts for so long given the run we were on.
