The ones I wished had stayed (aside from Luis) are Torres and Alonso. Not fussed about the rest, their time was up really.

For me the main one was Xabi and how poorly he was treated and he left due to Rafa trying to replace him with Gareth Barry.

Suarez for obvious reasons and we should have kept Torres until the Sumner of 2011 to see what might have happened with him and Suarez.

For me there is a lot of hindsight with Alonso he was woeful when Rafa tried to swap him with Barry, then went on to have great season and wanted out.

Torres was struggling with the knee when he left, and Suarez was no where the player that left us when he first joined so I dont think they would have been the dream team that they could of have been in their primes.

Alonso mentioned how well he and Rodgers got on talking tactics etc. Xabi has played under Rafa, Mourinho, Pep, Del Bosque, Ancelotti (not bad uh? ) He should try and lure him to us after next season on a player/coach basis

Suarez left Liverpool a far better player than when he arrived, he was absolute elite and at the apex of his game.

Edit - oh I think I get you now. He wasn't at his best in his first 18 months when the Torres career might have overlapped

Site needs a 'redfaced' smiley for moments like this, and after such an aggressive put down too.
