Disagree saying it was a wank performance.

Personally felt it was a solid performance, given confidence has been rocked, we lost sakho early on and had on paper what could be a dodgy back four in that sort of game, pitch didn't help, but we defended well and got forwarded well, could have been better in the final third but they were set up to defend in numbers.

Won the game and on to the semis.

Also, thought Johnson had a good game

Wank performance but we're in the semi that's the main thing.

Only see the missus every couple of weeks, seeing her this weekend and she said to me a few days ago she will be down the weekend of the 18/19th also so had her for 2 weekends in a row.

Now obviously I knew it was potentially FA cup semi final weekend so kept it quiet from her result pending.....until now. Have just text her and said I will likely be out as it's such a big game i.e with the lads.

Don't think she's too happy, was ages ago when I text her back and not heard off her since.

Start of things to go downhill.

I don't think I'm being harsh. It's never a performance that will live in the memory, especially that first half. It was wank.

Second half was an improvement but overall it was a poor game, slow match too whereby no one was arsed until we scored. Whether that's down to confidence or a poor pitch or what, it wasn't enjoyable to watch.

Perhaps what I meant was wank to watch rather than wank performance. Some players played well but overall it wasn't great.

Wow a handful of posts in a winning post match thread and its nearly midnight.

Thought Rodgers got everything right today. Even after the Sakho injury. Toure's performance and celebration for the goal showed he was being backed by the manager/team. Johnson and Lovren too for that matter. They celebrated like they'd won the cup.

Some nice tactical changes, liked Sterling on the left keeping the fullback occupied all game. Hendley was their only pace outlet for Rhodes/Gestede's knock ons. But he was too deep to be involved thanks to Raheem. With Hendley occupied we could play a high line, and we did. Successfully.

Blackburn tried to rough up their pitch, and they succeeded turning it into Anfield MkII. Oh oh, spaghettio. Which idiot had that bright idea?

I liked the 433 where our 'front' player was 'Unknown'. At times it was Sturridge, sometimes Sterling but most of the game Allen. How the fck do you set a plan against that?

Arsed about the ins and outs of the game, we got through. Brilliant moment with the superb goal and the celebration. Went mental. Usually feel confident going into any game but already got bad vibes about Benteke and Agbonlahor running wild around Wembley's wide open spaces. Probably cos they've done us at Anfield so many times recently.

I was the opposite, the way we played was very important to me today. Needed to get back to being a well oiled machine asap if we're going on an unbeaten run. This game showed we are back, albeit some players still need to wake the **** up (Henderson/Sturridge/Sterling) but yes, the mojo's back.

I'm more confident going against Newcastle and don't have to lose weight through nervous energy waiting for next Monday!
