When I saw the teamsheet and then the half time substitution I couldn't help thinking de ja vu from August-November period. A core of:

Mig
Skrtel Lovren
Gerrard
Balotelli

I honestly didn't think we'd score again, and we didn't. With Lucas and Sturridge out we won't be winning any more league games either so its irrelevant how many points City/Utd drop from now on.

Can, Henderson, Sterling, Coutinho and maybe Moreno and dead on their feet. Totally shattered. Can't really expect them to carry the burden any longer. Roll on next season (and possibly Rodgers' last).

Disgusted by that performance. Mentally weak. No urgency in our play. It was sluggish and disjointed.

A semi-final against relegation fodder was our chance to rise to the occasion and show that is where we belonged. Instead, we saw what the team is really made up of - inexperience, lack of intelligence in decision making, and quality.
