Yep, thats about the top and tail of it ... 20 plus shots, 10 on target ish ... missing a player to take that game by the scruff of the next ...Originally posted by kingfunk View PostTbf we done everything but score. The team is crying out for a top striker.

It certainly didn't help that Mario was behind the attacking mids for a fair proportion of the game. There was a lot of aimless possession. Coutinho had a good game, and looked like the only player capable of breaking down a defence v attack training sessionOriginally posted by kingfunk View PostTbf we done everything but score. Well, it sounds like a grown man regressing to the playground to me.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostIt was inspiring. Brendan is doing a magnificent job, just look at the way he motivates his players, gets them fired up to blow the opposition off the park! Oh...

Brendan Rodgers believes Liverpool FC are still missing Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge as he saw his side draw 0-0 away to West Bromwich Albion.
The Reds registered their sixth goalless draw in all competitions, and their fourth in the Premier League, in an attritional display at the Hawthorns.
Jordon Ibe hit the bar in the second half, while Dejan Lovren cleared off the line - but they were moments few and far between as Liverpool moved back up to fifth.
And Rodgers pointed to the absences – permanent and semi-permanent - of Suarez and Sturridge, who scored more 52 goals between them last season.
“Taking 52 goals out of your team doesn't help you,” said Rodgers. “The players that are playing showed terrific quality, but we just couldn't quite make the breakthrough.
“We worked it there [into the box] very well, we just couldn't make the final touch, the final pass, which makes a difference.
He added: “The numbers will tell you in the goals comparison, this is the third season I've been here and they've grown each year, but it's an area we'll look at in the summer and definitely one we have to do some work on.”
The draw in the Midlands follows the disappointing FA Cup exit to Aston Villa at Wembley on Sunday.
Even though a point is a big blow to Liverpool's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League, Rodgers was pleased with the performance – and how they responded to the cup disappointment.
“The level of the game, particularly in the second half, was very good,” said Rodgers. “Our intent from the game was to win the game of football, we just needed a wee break.
“West Brom defended very, very well. You have to be patient, you have to work your way through, and in the second half we did that very well.
“In the first half, the idea was good, but we were just a bit slower in our play. In the second half, it was much better – we just needed that wee bit of luck and quality.
“The feeling of disappointment was there [from Wembley] at the start of the week, but in top level sport, you have to move on from it.
“We probably got what we deserved last weekend, this was important to perform well again, get the confidence back with the ball and look to create chances. You can see we did that.”
Rodgers also conceded Liverpool's top four hopes suffered a huge blow with the draw.
They are seven points adrift of Manchester United, with Manchester City likely to be nine points ahead of the Reds, albeit having played a game more.
“It's very difficult,” admitted Rodgers. “We needed to win five of our remaining six, but you never know what happens above you, you just have to make sure you keep the pressure on.
“We look to our game in hand in the week as we look to get the three points.”
“We just don't score as many goals [this season], it's as simple as that. The players are giving the same effort, the same attitude, the skills we're transferring are the same.
“We had two players last year who played in our front three who, between them, got 50+ goals. And we don't have that.
“So the players are giving absolutely everything like you seen today, some real good bits of play, some clever bits of invention around the box, it was just that final little piece.”
Having scored 101 league goals last season, they remain on just 47 this season. Suarez is now netting freely for Barcelona after his £75m move, while Sturridge has made just a handful of appearances.
The Ulsterman admitted the problems in front of goal would see him move for a striker in the transfer market. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
