If there's a better manager available this summer then there's no logical reason IMO not to try something new. My gut feeling is that Brendan has taken the team/club as far as he can and it's time for a change, he's been given 3 years and over 200 million pounds and we're only in a marginally better place than when he arrived.

If we can't get a better manager then back him in the market and pray.

I'd say coming so close to the title last season, he should be given a guaranteed 2 seasons after to have another go, but we have been so bad this season i'm not sure I see the point. I think some of the names available this summer could take us forward better, but will they come to us? If we will, **** it be ruthless and get rid.

Its unbelievable in the difference from 12 months go, the way we played and the confidence we had. Walking to the ground or the pub pumped thinking we are gonna smash everyone, where as it feels like a bit of chore now.

Close to all of his signings have been poor that's the main issue with him for me, record in the transfer market is not good to put it mildly.

Came closer than any Liverpool manager in 25 years to winning the league in his second season, so a yes from me. Deserves another shot with a decent strike force.

3 years and still can't defend. Thats not going to change next season either. Plus he says way too many stupid things.

This for me, deserves a second chance to turn things around.

We've had a frustrating season and Rodgers more than anyone will know that.

We talk a lot about manager's 'getting the club' and he does. He understands what the club is about and he'll be hurting and massively disappointed after what he's witnessed this last year but I think he deserves another shot for sure.

I'm of the opinion that Suarez's brilliance raised the game of each and every one of those players.

None have looked half the player they were last season with Suarez.

EDIT - With the exception of Coutinho.

the fantastic ride of last year was down to the amazing partnership of suarez and a semi-fit sturridge. we still leaked goals like a sieve.
we knew we wouldnt have all those goals again this year and this was the year we had to tighten up the leaks and be stronger in our piss weak midfield.
it hasnt happened, we roll over easier than a baby with a drink problem.

too much talk of brendan learning on the job. i dont want to see the club i have grown up supporting being used as a training tool for a trainee premier league manager. i want to see some strength and desire from the players and drive and commitment from the manager.

                          sack.

It's twice we've asked the question seriously this year. B-dawg turned it round briefly with a 'hail Mary' tactical move and a few players filling in out of position but even then there were some dodgy performances (Southampton away springs to mind). I don't recall such an air of defeatism in all my time as a LFC supporter, at least with Roy we were raging with each other. There just seems to be an acceptance now that we are second tier, mediocrity lies down this road. So we need new impetus. Certainly at most other top clubs in Europe he'd be getting sacked now, they wouldn't even give a ****. There feels like a certain inevitability to it here, maybe not summer maybe 10 games in maybe next summer. If I could see even the merest signs of life if say give him more time, but we are flat lining. So, you do it now. I think it takes strong leadership to get rid of a guy who has shown glimpses.

But glimpses aren't enough. Strong leadership means tough decisions, and for that I'd fire him. He needed a strong end to the season, instead we rolled over and got our belly tickled. We've handed Utd 4th without a fight. Unforgivable.

Losing home and away to palace, losing to Hull, losing a semi final to ****ing timmys Villa, being so abject in Europe. Take the emotion out of it and he gets the boot every day off the week.

Anyway, I don't like hearing excuses and I don't believe in going down with out a fight. There has been evidence of both. It's been a roller coaster Brendan, and as a coach you are not without ability.

But, I'm sorry to have to say this.

                                You're fired.
