    Does Rodgers deserve another season?

We're almost at the finishing line of the 2014-2015 season. It's been a rocky road with some good moments. With that being said are you still confident in Rodgers bringing success? Would you bite the bullet and sack him or give him another season?

Whoever is manager will have to use most of the players we currently have. Plus they will have to work within the tight financial restraints with regard to wages that we seem to have set in place. A new guy may make us a little more coherent and we might scrape top 4 but ultimately without lots of money to throw at fees and wages, we won't challenge for the title. 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, it really is much of a muchness. Its mediocre, its boring. The best manager in the league for winning trophies is mourinho, you really think he'd have us challenging working with our budget? I don't. Therefore may as well keep Rodgers and sack him if we are well off the pace in November.

I'd give it another season personally.

I have reservations, we need to do much better in the transfer market this summer than we did last year, and Rodgers himself needs to regroup and rethink, but for me 2013-14 was the most I've enjoyed watching us play in the league since 1988 and I just don't feel ready to give up on that quite yet. If anything we over-performed last season more than we have underperformed this one. I don't think we're actually as far behind as we were when he took over, and there have been some very positive aspects of his management I still believe can come to the fore again.

I can see why others would disagree, many criticisms are valid though some do get quite exaggerated I feel.

Poor transfer window certainly in terms of forwards coupled with Sturridge being out pretty much all season left us having to change the formation to accommodate for the lack of goals and leaving us playing players out of position. If he does get another season which whilst I think he will isn't a certainty this Summers transfers will need to be good and hit the ground running next season.

Not a million miles off where we want to be but he'll be under pressure from the get go to deliver.

three years and we still cant defend.

the fantastic ride of last year was down to the amazing partnership of suarez and a semi-fit sturridge. we still leaked goals like a sieve.
we knew we wouldnt have all those goals again this year and this was the year we had to tighten up the leaks and be stronger in our piss weak midfield.
it hasnt happened, we roll over easier than a baby with a drink problem.

too much talk of brendan learning on the job. i dont want to see the club i have grown up supporting being used as a training tool for a trainee premier league manager. i want to see some strength and desire from the players and drive and commitment from the manager.

            sack.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I would reluctantly let him go for one reason. His total failure to replace Suarez, which left us completely toothless up front. This cost us CL football next year. A forward line of Sturrige, Ballasomeone, Lambert and Butler is utter ****. Everybody on here saw it, why didn't he.

I voted "no", but considered opting for "undecided". It's certainly not a yes from me anyway. If a better manager becomes available to us then we should replace Rodgers. I don't really like Rodgers, but he does seem to be a good man-manager. We haven't really made much progress with him and we could do a lot better. I'd like us to bring someone in who can attract top players, I think this is a problem for us with Rodgers.

Everyone could see it was ****, can't really blame Rodgers for that though.

If we continue the same way in the transfer, it won't matter who the manager is.

Said Yes but meant no!!!! Damn it I need a do over

But only if we get a top name in. 3 years in and he still doesn't know his best team or what formation to play them in. Everything seemed aimless & guessing rather than confidence execution. Too much learning, too many mistakes, cocky comments he's made, bad buys (who the **** bought them) & complete lack of direction.

Said no and anyone else who's played a part in our signings needs to go too.

Klopp will be heading over to Real Madrid and Ancelotti will go to Manchester City. Benitez will stay in Italy leaving only De Boer who might fancy a new challenge. Is that really a step up? I think the manager-merry-go-round that will take place this summer has made the grass look greener on the other side.

Of course everything depends on who we can get. I'd expect the club to be doing their homework on that rather than just giving him another year regardless.

Just remember when H&G were sounding out Klinsmann to replace Benitez.

I don't think FSG will give him another year regardless. I do believe FSG will be looking at Rodgers' plan when he took over (it must be a five year plan, amiright?) and seeing if they are within the parameters of that plan. FSG will have an exit strategy, no doubt, but I don't think they will be swayed by results at the tail end of the season when an FA Cup semi-final defeat took the wind from our sails.

There will be changes this summer, I'm sure. But I think it will predominately be around player recruitment and our transfer activity. Rodgers as a coach, is great. Rodgers as a manager needs tweaking. Give him the right tools this summer and I think he'll get it right.
