UEFA CUP next season lads, believe it

Up 'till last week I was very optimistic that we will do something this season in the league inspite of suffering the 5th defeat away from home.
After todays SHAMBLES I have come to the conclusion that we will finish on a worse away record than 04/05 which was RAFAs first season.
    That season we W 5 - D 3 - L 11 with a total of 18 points, this season we have 2 points from a possible 21.
Now we need to win all of our home games to stand a chance of finishing in the top 4, it ain't gonna happen.
In conclusion, we will finish outside the top 4 this season and we will be playing in the Uefa Cup in 07/08. Brace yerselves lads, it's gonna be a stinker of a season.

I still think we'll finish fourth.

I've written our league position off already this season, we're too far back to do anything. the best we can hope for is 4th behind Arsenal. That would be an achievement at this stage of the season.

It's all about the January window now. We CANNOT allow it to pass us by yet again. I don't give 2 ****s if we have to shell out big money, we have to get the players in and settled in to start the 2007/8 season. I don't think we can wait until summer, there is too much that needs to be done.
We need a left winger and a right winger MINIMUM. Another striker wouldn't go amiss either as I can't see Fowler doing much next season.
Get your hand in your pocket Moores and think big Rafa

Problem is, how many QUALITY players get transferred in January.

Plus is there any money. Rafa spent around 25 million on players this summer, but Kuyt apart brought in utter crap.

That is the problem but if Rafa is all we say he is then he should be capable. AS for money, the board have to realise there is no point in having a manager with his hands tied behind his back.

I've pretty much lost faith in Rafa now. A great manager no doubt - just can't see him cracking the English game.

People have used investment to shoot that theory down in the past. Truth is - I wouldn't trust Rafa with a huge wedge in the market if investment did come through. Sad.

His record in the transfer market is mediocre to poor so far. Alonso and Sissoko are the shining lights.

                            I've been fairly pleased with:

                            Kuyt
                            Crouch
                            Alonso
                            Sissoko
                            Agger
                            Garcia
                            Reina
                            Carson (so far this season)
                            Palletta (on early showings)

                              Garcia

I missed out Agger, he's done well and Kuyt looks promising.
Reina cost 8 million(hell of a lot for a keeper), had a brilliant season last season and has looked shakey this season.
Crouch, doesn't get enough games for an 8 million pound striker and is wasted in the team we have at the moment. We need someone who can cross it to him because he is not going to beat the defenders running onto a through ball.
                              Garcia is woefully inconsistent.
                              Carson, doesn't play
                              Paletta doesn't play.
