Thanjk you.

Who do you have in mind kurt? I can only think of Simao.
Alves, Defoe was touted as a possible signing until Cisse, who Rafa was apparently trying to sell to raise funds for this transfer, broke his leg? They're the 2 that spring to mind and both better than the ****e we ended up with.
you forgot to mention some other BAD buys he's done and thank fcuk they have left now no i never I said on the books
Pellegrino, Morientes, Nunez & Josemi to name a few Pelle was free, Nunez was forced as part of the Owen deal, and we still made money back on him, Josemi was swapped for Kromkamp who we then made nearly all our cash back on - and I covered Morro before. I think you'll also find, that few pretty much covers all his 'bad' buys as there isn't anyone else
Bottom line is he has signed more bad players than he signed good ones. has he bollocks
You get what you pay for in this world, so if you shell out 7£ m on a mediocre players like Pennant you will get 1 good match out of 10 from him, but if you sign the like of Alonso or Kuyt you will get 1 bad match out of 10.
I'm with RED CHILI on this one, we are no nearer to #19 than we were when RAFA joined us.
I am sticking to me guns here by saying we will NOT finish in the top 4 this season and WE WILL be in the uefa cup next season. Reality that's what it is.
Hmmmm Defoe or Bellamy, neither of them are pulling any trees up. I wanted Defoe but he's been shocking recently.
Forgot about Alves though
Belive me when I say that I'm not Defoe' biggest fan but he's definitely a better player than that headless chicken Bellamy. The board also never parted with the cash for Owen, rightly or wrongly. He would've been a good signing for us and I'm sure I wasn't the only fan who was excited by his possible return.

I think that's another lucky escape. Imagine if we'd matched the Geordies on that. 16 million down the toilet

Yes it looks like a lucky escape now and hindsight shows that we were right in not signing him however we couldn't predict the future at the time and that alone serves another example of a player that our current board of directors wouldn't sign due to not giving the manager the required funds.
Morphino, Rafa signed them players did he not ? I don't care about the circumstances
They played like crap most of the time, pissed the clubs monies away and fooked off to where they came from. I don't care if they were on 10£ or 10,000£ a week, it's still a waste

that's what a limited budget gets you I suppose, we're trying to win the league here lets not forget, not just happily qualify for the Champions league, to get the 20mil, that we need as our only means for buying players, it's just like going round circles untill we get more cash.

You're right there. Every season we seem to be 3 or 4 players short of a title winning side and that isn't happening by accident it's happening because we never seem to have the money to buy real quality that will improve the team.
