Should have started and will in next game as benteke is injured. Although Rodgers will probably play him wing back.

Anyone could see in the earlier games that Benteke was isolated and needed someone alongside him to pick up knock downs and run past him. I said I thought Ings was unlucky not to have scored in the previous two so I said start him with Benteke (when I thought Sturridge wouldn't start). The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Should have started Ings regardless of Sturridge being available.Originally posted by Exiled_red View Post

Sturridge has been out for 6 months & it was very much obvious that he would struggle. Whereas Ings is fit and has a point to prove. Personally I think it would have been a different result if we had of started with Ings & then brought Sturridge on in the latter when Norwich where tiring. Said this before the game.

No I wouldn't have started Sturridge either I would have given him 20-30 from the bench I would have started Benteke and Ings regardless. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

absolutely.
It's decisions like this that make me think there is no hope for Rodgers. Same as the Lovren one, or the one up front one, or the Ings wing back one, or the Ibe wing back one etc etc. The list goes on and on.
At any other club that has ambitions of getting into the champions league, he would have been a goner a long time ago.

I'll excuse it v Stoke, but when it was obvious we weren't creating anything we should've switched it from then onwards. I wouldn't mind so much, but we hardly created a chance in the pre season games either.Originally posted by danperkins View Post
and the rest.
Most goals I remember were a touch of individual class as opposed to great interplay and sustained pressure. The classy Lallana goal, Ibes great hit, wonder goal from Benteke. Writing was on the wall then that 433 was a failure.
We just excused it because we had players missing. More excuses.Forwards.......
