A bit of me imagines the panel literally flicking through the pages with a tired exhale of breath, tossing it to one side and telling them 'you'll only get a little more than Liverpool offered as it was a good deal and you're wasting our time but you can still issue a press release to save face (or words to that effect)'.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yep, an extra 500k over what we offered defo fully justifies you dragging this out for well over a year. Fully!

I think that £6.5m is a fair price, I don't think either side can really argue about that

I think Burnley are getting the money for nothing, which grates somewhat, but I'd have no issues paying 6.5m to the clubs that actually paid to train and develop him.

Aye, I think Burnley did well to get that much, but equally it's more than a fair price for us.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Exactly. They should count themselves very fortunate.

Fair play to them I suppose for persevering though, it's paid off for them.

                            5 Ings = 1 Benteke

Absolute bargain considering the lad's age. He's going to be a superstar under Klopp

We badly needed an Ings out there tonight with Origi injured.

Great result. Really happy to see Burnley chairman stewing in his own semantics.
                              One tit for another.

If I wrote a 400 page report and only got paid half a million for it I'd be absolutely fuming.
