He looked solid before his injury. He;d need to have a **** season to be sold IMO.

i had such high hopes for this lad. many thought he was ****e but he showed glimpses of what he could do.
hard working team player who knows where the goal is, nothing wrong with that.
but then blighted by injuries, the poor lad has had to pick himself up time and time again.
you have to hope he will still have something left to give and he can regain his former levels of fitness.
        come on danny lad.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

I just think that his game is all running and work rate. Nasty injury and not many players comeback the same, let alone a guy thats game is based on running. Cruciate's are evil injuries and he has missed 85 games. Another op after the cruciate too, poor *******.

Personally I think a loan spell would be best for the guy. If he needs game time, he is way down the pecking order at the moment and probably wo't get what he needs this season with us.

I think he could get a fair bit of game time looking at our squad.

Get himself match fit, then loan him from Jan to the end of the season. See how he gets on.

He'll be like a new signing, along with sturridge, Moreno, Milner, Kent etc etc.

You might be right if this window carries on as is

I think he'll be used as a wide player if he gets himself fit.

Honestly though if it gets to the point where we have to rely on a bloke who has missed the last 85 games to fill key positions ... then something is seriously wrong with our strategy. Ings is going to need a full season to get back to scratch. Horrendous injury problems & remains to be seen whether he has it to make it at LFC at this stage. He needs game time and unless we have injuries .... imo he should be loaned out at some point. I did think we might buy another wide player to cover Mane or Salah but not sure now. I bet the poor ******* is just happy to be back playing ball again, he has a long road ahead of him and good luck to the guy.

Cover for wide areas after Salah and Mane:

Lallana, Ojo, Ojaria, Kent, Woodburn, Firminho, Ings

                              (Probably in that order)
