If anything, he looks like a poor man's Mignolet - he can pull off the odd shot stop which is then ruined by complete idiocy.

Ward could feasibly come in to challenge for the no 1 spot next season, he's been excellent all season for Aberdeen, and is streets ahead of Hooper Mk II

If you remember, when we signed him the Bolton fans were laughing at us. I don't know how young players are supposed to develop if they don't get challenged. Some will sink but some will soar. If the manager thinks the odds of them sinking are too high to be worth risking, maybe we should not be holding on to them.

Good news for Liverpool, but a proper **** story for Aberdeen. He's been excellent north of the border - big on one on ones, good distribution with hands and feet, shot stopper, commanding of his area and has the full confidence of his defence. I reckon he could push Mignolet

He already sounds better than Mignolet.
Ward will be full of confidence so it will perhaps be the first time in his LFC career that Mignolet will have been under ANY pressure at all.

He's only been playing SPL though, which is at best League One standard. Hope he does something though - be a hell of a waste if he comes south just to be 3rd choice!

I assume he will be 2nd choice and will get some cup games, (3rd round replay at least) otherwise I doubt we'd have brought him back as at Aberdeen he would have had another 18 or so games

I'm not sure that matters, corners are usually better than PL standard! Did you see the quality of Wycombe's against Villa? Bloody fast and dangerous every time.

The only area I'd agree with you on is reading of the game, then PL teams are more dangerous to face.
