The kid is unbelievable. Composure and pace are ridiculous. He'll make a serious centre back in time. I've never had an issue with right footed left backs (Steve Nichol, Rob Jones, Carra) and its less of an issue now as a defender as most right sided players tend to cut in rather than go outside. Limited in the attacking sense but defend first for me. Both full back positions have been a weakness for a few seasons that has been solved for now but I'd like to see Gomez move to a more natural position in time and dominate as a centre back.

When you consider CB is his preferred position and that he's played most of his league football at RB it's ridiculous how comfortable he looks playing LB.

Will be in the England squad by the end of the season.

He is a huge talent, but teams must surely get on to what he's going to do, cut back inside. I'd be suprised if West ham dont close down the two players behind when he gets the ball on the weekend.

Long term I wonder what will happen to him, he doesnt look big enough to play centre back, he wont dislodge Clyne on the right. I wonder if he could play DM I much prefer him to Rossiter

He's 6 2" isn't he, that's a decent enough height for a CB Terry is shorter than that for a start.
