Must be crap, he's only come back from long term injuries. Not really in a position to be demanding anything. And he's not the sort of person that would anyway to be honest.

As a CB he's one of the best in the PL. Can easily fit next to Dias at City, obviously Utd, Chelsea too probably. Madrid, Barca, PSG, you name it. But he has to prove more than just his ability. He has to prove his durability. Salah isn't world class just because he's good. He's world class because he's good AND starts every game regardless of others' injuries.

I wouldn't say he's firmly 4th choice, it's clear VVD and matip is first choice.

Matip doesn't usually last the full 40-50 game season so I imagine he'll come in at some point.

He's one of the best centre backs in the league when fit and playing and if it wasn't for injuries, he'd be first choice for england too.

Loads of time to get a starting place back though

We are only 9 games in - he will get some game time this season for sure.

What he knows know is he has to play ****ing well to get a game in any of our clutch fixtures. He is capable though. If he was 'happy' being forth choice then I'd be even more worried.

I'll come to his defence He must be looking at the current crop of English defenders and think he has a chance of going to the world cup. That's not to say he's any better than 4th choice for us though.

Sad thing is it probably doesn't matter Maguire seems to be seen as England's best CB for some unknown reason, I would expect him to be first choice regardless of his form.

I think OK is about right I don't think he was ever particularly good. Leicester well and truly screwed them on the transfer fee
