I see that the official site has an update on Gomez and Matip...it’s as if they know we’re all thinking “wtf - why let Clyney go when our defence is already stretched?” It’s very odd. If we got £20M for him I wouldn’t be so surprised, but a loan? I wonder whether there is another factor here...?

Warnock is not entitled to Clyne.....surely Clyne would rather go to Bournemouth than Cardiff......he has a say for himself.
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

After his solid game v Man United, Clyne got on the bench ahead of Moreno.

That said, Milner is probably ahead of Clyne as back up left back and right back.

It should be grand, but if Moreno, Gomez at right back (or Dejan in the team with Gomez at right back) happens to get in the team and makes a **** up that costs us points, dopes like me will say "why the **** did we let Clyne go".
Exactly - we already know that in the absence of TAA, Klopp would rather move Gomez from CB and bring Lovren in, or play Milner there. That’s still going to be the case whether Clyne is here or not. What any of us would prefer is irrelevant.

So that being the case and barring all 3 being injured again, where is Clyne’s playing time suddenly going to come from and how does letting him go actually make any difference?

People can say "why the **** did we let Clyne go?" in the event of another player making a costly mistake. But the answer is that it’s highly unlikely that Clyne would have been on instead of that player even if we hadn’t let him go.

No but it's pretty rude if he's been misled and/or nobody has updated him on the situation.

Not as rude as him shooting his mouth off in the media, obv.

Can't be good for his blood pressure to be so salty.

Speaking of class - don't tell your teams to go out an d kick lumps out of the opposition, Neil.

Clyne has worked with him once and doesn't want to do it again that should tell him something...

There was no real way of knowing that though because he was injured. Once he came back from injury, played well against United, it was a natural assumption that he would start getting more minutes after that.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Klopp has just let him go on loan though. That doesn’t suggest that he saw him as at least 2nd choice or that he intended to play him any more often now that he appears to be available again

Bar the odd isolated illness or ‘knock’, he hasn’t been officially injured since early last year. Other than that, there was just the vague ‘it’s too complicated to explain’ stuff from Klopp. But then when we had no other options he was suddenly able to play about a week later.

It's always funny when we **** Warnock over and troll him. The guy is absolute weapon.

it’s been too long since the last time. I hope we can get another one in before clubs stop employing him.

Don't we play them in late April, the 4th last game of the season, if they have a **** time there's an outside chance we could send them down, which would be nice

Anybody who plays at RB instead of Trent now is a player that is better elsewhere on the pitch and reduces our options there, is how I see it.

Camacho can play there. So maybe he will get his chance? And there are a few other youngsters who could be given their chance.

It's a nothing discussion really. It doesn't jeopardise our chances in any way.
                                Are we winning?
