To be fair to the overseas fans, stars or no stars, friendlies are a tough watch for me. I remember going to watch us play at Peterborough once, team full of kids, good crowd however we left at half time and got smashed in the pubs and tried to pull anything in the vincinity, not much by the way, that was over ten years ago, I dread to think how bad the place is now. **** hole.
We used to play a few shows in and around P-Bo for some reason, can't remember why. I concur though, absolute stain of a town. Everybody is miserable
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

When was the last time we played in Thailand or Australia before two years ago? Had we even played in Australia before?

Is there not a part that two years ago it felt like a big event or a one once in a lifetime opportunity so worth making the effort, whereas now it just felt like another meaningless friendly for some?

I wouldn't read too much into it.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I'm not sure about Thailand but yeah 2013 was the 1st ever time LFC visited Aust. That was a one off match at the MCG which got 95000 fans there. This year over here we are playing 2 matches in Bne & Adel.

The day after our Bne match Man City play here on the Gold Coast before they play a tournament in Melb against Real, Roma & Juventus so there's a fair bit of football for the neutrals to watch.

                Henderson.

Autograph hunters, as you can imagine, besieged Liverpool's squad at every opportunity and the clamour for pictures and signatures as they left Rajamangala for the airport was unrelenting.

Some players did the bare minimum, others scuttled away from the massed ranks without even a cursory wave but nothing was too much trouble for Jordan Henderson.

Despite calls from one of Liverpool's staff to board the team bus, Henderson did not want to disappoint anyone and kept scribbling his name or posing for selfies until the very last moment.

It may only have been a small gesture but here was further proof that he knows his responsibilities as captain.

Gone to his ****ing head already

Still, given our new found popularity level, there was probably only 7-8 fans there.

Well, we kind of had, as in the season before we'd come 2nd and we were 5 points off 3rd and very much looked like making it up.

It's the 1 point of the season we had reason to be buzzing

Understandable that numbers will drop then.

They aren't there. The back 4 and keeper second half was the back 5 that'll start the season bar Moreno. Guaranteed.

Lucas was bloody good yesterday, loads of reverse through balls and one touch passes.

                                I hope he's back!
