It's pretty desperate for Gomez to be our first choice left back. I like him and he has a lot of potential but he's young and inexperienced and preseason was kinder stuff. Nothing seriously challenging to judge him by.

He was having a good game until then - came racing out from the middle then stopped leaving a huge hole behind him. Had to do one thing or the other, but in the end just took himself out of the game. Terrible.
