I think the reality is he needed to "wake up" and be more on it. He was a yard off the pace. Not down to disinterest, maybe that's just me being a bit pedantic on your choice of words. But in some cases players come on in games and they're off the pace.Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostLook I wasn't the only one having a go at Ibe. There were two times you could see quite clearly players having a go at him because he was on his heels.
Personally, I found it disappointing because I really do believe the right substitution could have sneaked us the win on the break.Forwards.......

A cracking game! Great first half
unlucky not to score at least one! They were all over us the 2nd half. Their passing was quick & sharp. They also won the ball back very quickly. Made it very difficult for us. Although that did mean we had to defend, quite deep, but we did defend very well. Skrtel 2nd half was immense. Full backs were also very good all game. If only we could have defended like we did but and keep hold of the ball & move it better we might not have had soooo much pressure on us 2nd half.
All in all it was a great point at the emirates and we can take many positives away from today's game. Must get back with 3 points in our next game though. Need to rack up as many points as we can to allow a little room for error in these tough away games coming up although i do hope we don't lose them either!

Promising start that is for sureOriginally posted by Glenn Hysen View PostGreat performance, wow. One thing is certain....this summer we bought the right players.
Making last seasons signings look better too. Lovren looks far better, whilst the pressure taken off Mpreno will have done him the world of good.Forwards.......

Ok, I can see where you're coming from but I meant it in a sense that he was so lethargic that it made him look 'uninterested' but I agree my wording could have been better.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI think the reality is he needed to "wake up" and be more on it. And for a fit, strong, pacey young lad to be a yard off the pace was very disappointing as it was an ideal time for him to show what he can do.

He should have scored.

Ibe has looked pretty awful alright. Definitely not a starter at the moment. Lot of pressure been put on the lad, we tend to build up these kids too much. Early days for Ibe.Originally posted by Parr_Zee View PostI think he's been dreadful in every game so far this season. Looks disinterested, unwilling to run at defenders, lathargic, loses the ball almost every time.
He needs to buck his ideas up. Really hope he does...

As good a performance as I could have hoped for, especially considering I thought we would lose this one. Besides Chelsea and City away, I don't think we will come up against more difficult (and creative) opponents.
if we can work as hard and be as committed as that in the hard games, there is no reason why we cannot finish top 4 and go on a cup run.
Sturridge coming back will also add to the penetration.
Also the future is extremely bright, with the vast majority of the team being pretty young!
