There's a split in the camp!!

I don't want him to go. That would be hideous. All I'm saying is if he were to go I wouldn't be as devastated as I once would've been, and nor do I think it would be quite as catastrophic as I once thought.

    I don't think he'll go anywhere either.

Exactly. People almost talk as though it would be the end of the world if he went. I don't want him to go either but if he does he does. We'll get over it.
RAFA! RAFAEL! RAFA! RAFAEL! RAFA! RAFAEL! RAFAEL BENITEZ!

We'll have a squad of mediocrity. Woot.

Do you honestly reckon we're a "one-man team" then?

          I don't.

One man does not a team make.

He's a big game player. A world class player.

You need genuine world class to win tight/tough games... FA Cup/European Cup etc.

Massive step back if he goes, which is a moot point as i don't think he will.

EDIT- put it this way, i value him at 25 points a season(not this one obviously)... But that's how much his strokes of brilliance is worth to the team. If he is replaced with two lesser players it will hurt the team.

Also this ****e is not coming from Stevie! Its coming from people trying to disturb the club or buy him.
Only a few weeks ago when we were winning 5 on the trot all this ****e stopped. Stevie comes out in the papers and TOTAL dismisses all this **** as "bull****" END OF STORY AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED!

Roll on 2 weeks, we lose a game and draw a game and Stevie is moody again (understandable) and people want him to again come out in the press and start making statements that he is not leaving again!
Lets schedule fortnightly press confrences for Stevie to say "i'm not leaving" to everyone
No-one constantly analysis JC's body langague and calls him moody when he is kicking off on the pitch or walking off with a gob on him or constantly saying he is unhappy or being linking with other clubs (maybe due to the fact that no club has the intention of buying him so hence no of this bull**** involving him)

I must agree that all this side show is becoming boring and a major distraction!

Regarding his private life rumours i still have blue nose T*ats that definatly seen Folwer taking coke every night in clubs, know for a fact that he was battered that infamous night because the bouncers in a club knew he was taking drugs in the toilets!
ALL this ****e comes from the bluenoses! They try to destroy our players because of jealousy! Spreads around the city between blues who believe it all , then because its mentioned so much everyone starts to believe it!
                ITS TOTAL GARBAGE!
                ABSA****INGLUTELY
Lee Carsley could be sleeping in a bus shelter and knobbing donkeys every night and no-one would give a ****.
It wasn't so long ago that we were slating players for not looking like they gave a **** after a defeat. We now have a captain who's demeanor after a defeat is exactly the same as the majority of our supporters and some accuse him of lacking commitment to the club. Total nonsense.

It's funny how the team's fortunes completely match Gerrard's form though

After a defeat? It's his demeanour during games and sometimes even before them that's pissing people off.

3-0 down at Arsenal had me looking pissed off too. I just think people are starting to see something that isn't there. He has never had the look of a happy go lucky character about him.

We're as close to being a one man team as is possible, in my opinion.

He hasn't, no, but I'm not just talking about the times when we're 3-0 down. He was abysmal at Old ****ford, for example, and moped around virtually from the start.

Agreed Shaggy, but we had 10 others who also moped about at Old Trafford and no-one has suggested this as proof of them wanting to leave. I know he's our captain and that we shouldn't expect him to behave like he did at OT but there could be any number of reasons for some of his performances this season.
What I do find hard to take is that some of our own seem more than happy to steam to our club captain on the strength of sourceless internet gossip. I dont see that any of his performances this season have justified the degree of 'get him out' posts that have appeared recently.
