Then it's a bit of welcome pressure for the new boss, but rather that than he has an uphill struggle.

The alternative is Rodgers stays and later on in the year tries his 433 again and we crash and burn as usual.

The worst thing about the way things are just now is that it's the derby tomorrow and I'm not even that bothered about it. There's just this kind of worn down, lack of optimism - like all the anticipation and joy has been squeezed out of it. Even the Evertonians here in work or wherever aren't that bothered, with both sets of fans just going "Yeah, your lot will probably win this one"

If we lose, it'll be annoying, but because Liverpool aren't doing well that cuts down on the Evertonian triumphalism. Add in that a defeat might bring the manager down, its not the best circumstances to be going into a big game like this. Brendan seems a beaten man already from his body language, demeanour and chat in the media.

Get anyrhing from the game is a bonus for me, I've written the season off already if Rodgers stays. If he is getting sacked then our season starts after this game, they can only win when we are in turmoil, normal service will resume shortly I hope.
