Loans are only useful if we are going to let someone go. If they play & do well their value might increase. Personally I feel we have been too quick to loan players out. The standard of our youth teams has deteriorated as players have been promoted too quickly.

Can anyone tell me the value of Andre Wisdom being out on loan? He looked a decent enough prospect initially. Now he's just being coached by a different manager. Ryan Kent & Harry Wilson may be getting game time, but they would be better off training with players of higher standard.

Can anyone tell me the last player we loaned out who returned and became a first team regular?

Not sure what you mean. The grounding of player development is pretty much done and dusted by the time a player can only be used in the U21 squad, Liverpool cannot have 20 players of 19-22 (say) all still playing in the U21s they will stagnate in no time at all. Its a 12 team division without even the additional matches that a cup could yield.

IMO, he will keep the most promising players withing the club, be it U21's, B team, whatever..... The idea will be to progress them rather than stagnate them. The rest of the chaff, will be loaned out with a view to selling and offloading them

Just saw my post and it didn't come across as I meant.

I think we should only loan out players who are close to being ready. A one off loan to a good club with a view to them getting game time and returning to the club as the finished article.

Jordan Ibe was a correct use of the loan system. He was ripping it up in the reserves and after a short loan at Derby he came back as a player we could use.

Ryan Kent & Harry Wilson are a long way from being ready and at a key stage of their development we should be holding on to them and keeping the standard of our reserve teams higher.

Its only been a couple of weeks and I can already not imagine anybody else managing us ...........ever ... just hope the crowd starts turning up.. I am sure it will come once the goals start to drop ... Jesus that run in a couple of years ago is why I am a Liverpool fan .. because yeah were are just a little bit special ... and other fans know it

I'd sooner Danny Ward, Sergi Canos, Sheyi Ojo, Ryan Kent etc were getting meaningful game time on loan than playing matches in the U18 or U21s they are already beyond that level and would be getting in the way of the next generation. As for others sure they are being sent out to be sold on that's part of the whole economy of the game now, like it or not.

Just feels right and safe, and i say this knowing success is not guaranteed for anyone let alone us, but, it's like having someone in charge of a business you started up and love, and never having to worry or check the accounts or petty cash, being able to feel totally relaxed that something we hold dear is in the correct hands, and they will do everything in their power to make it a success, and do it in a fantastic enjoyable way as the icing on the cake.
