I'll be even more staggered/surprised/amazed/astonished/bewildered/flabbergasted/dumbfounded if Lucas is still in the team when the injuries clear up and Klopp has the January transfer window.
He just isn't suited for the high pressing game, Hendo, Milner, Can, Allen are all more suited to it imo.
Hendo is injured, Allen wasn't match fit when Klopp joined and he plays 3 in there at the minute, with Rossiter also injured who else could he play?
He's the one rested or rotated, Lucas just can't play 3 games a week in a high pressing system.
Consequently it takes longer to get cohesion if any player is missing every other game or every game in 3.
Horses for course pick, squad player or someone to sit in front of the CB's Lucas is excellent at it.
Long-term starter every week in the PL playing this way? I just don't see it, he's an injury waiting to happen and all the other midfielders are more dynamic, mobile with better fitness/injury records.
I don't think that a high pressing game necessarily demands that all midfielders are dynamic. What we have seen is Lucas taking intelligent positions relative to the players hunting the ball and covering fullback positions. From the tactical point of view I think Lucas will be fine in Klopp's system.
The fitness and injury record point is a sound one though. With the former I think few of those asked to run/press across the pitch will be able to play 3 games a week regularly.

Klopp will learn about the dysfunctional nature of the U21 league and that loans are just a necessity if players not ready for the senior team and are to get a proper grounding.

I dont agree. He will be wanting all of the players playing his style rather than sending them out somewhere to be polluted....
Not sure what you mean. The grounding of player development is pretty much done and dusted by the time a player can only be used in the U21 squad, Liverpool cannot have 20 players of 19-22 (say) all still playing in the U21s they will stagnate in no time at all. Its a 12 team division without even the additional matches that a cup could yield.
