Am I right in thinking both Stewart (at Swindon) and Ojo (at Wolves) have had no game time this season?
If that is right, what on earth are we doing? Either these players are not good prospects, in which case they should not be on our books, or they are, in which case we should be arranging loans that give them the prospect of game time. If the Swindon and Wolves DID give them that, then what has gone wrong...where is the hunger to succeed?
Stewart was a starter for Swindon, but then got badly injured in September so it wasn't possible for him to play. As for his talent... I don't know, it was already kinda weird when he picked him up, 21 y/o released on a free from Spurs... I guess he played because he was actually among the oldest injury-free players at the club.
Ojo also started off well at Wolves, had some goals and assists, MotM performances too, then they got impatient with him when his form went downhill, diving was also a problem I think, so they binned him. I don't think that means he's no longer a talent now and that we should get rid of him.

What point are you trying to make?
Both Stewart and Ojo were good last night, Ojo changed the games flow when he came on with his energy and strength. In fact Klopp should have swapped him and Benteke at half time in my book - the team would have had a much more mobile front end.

It wasn't a comment on their performances last night but rather on our use of loans to develop players. And I hadn't realised Ojo had played c17 times for Wolves. I agree Ojo did well in his cameo. Stewart I thought was flashy when simple would have been better and was invisible when his presence was needed so (a) more in and out and (b) thus a bit disappointing for a 22 year old hoping to become a first teamer.
Some of the young lads were trying too hard to impress rather than trying to play some direct football and play team mates in, looking to impress kloppy.
On that quagmire of a pitch there was too much fannying about, giggity.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Agreed, if you've watched the U21s regularly the likes of Smith, Kent, Tex and Brannagan were playing to around 70-80% of their young potential against Exeter. Usually when not trying to impress the Big Boss they play some lovely interchange stuff regardless of the surface.
Sinclair and Ojo were the only ones doing the right things and putting the team first. Stewart is neither young nor will he be with us too much longer.

Some of these kids have just been brought back from loans so haven't played much together this year. I read that a couple of the starters supposedly hadn't trained with the side before the match which is crazy to think about. That could have something to do with it. Also they had no real experienced head in there telling them to calm it down, if you had a Gerrard or a Carragher or someone in there babysitting them through telling them what to do and what not to do maybe you see less of that stuff.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
I'm surprised that Milner didn't feature for 30. He'd be perfect for that role.
I thought he wasn't fit?
