He slows the play down for me. Great touch and ability to receive the ball. But he takes too many touches and offers little or no end product. All furr coat and no knickers for me.

Considering how shocking they are defensively I'd go with Lucas as DM with other midfielders in advanced roles.

      My team would be:

      Mig
      Clyne-Lovren-Sakho-Moreno
      Lucas
      Hendo-Allen
      Ibe-Firmino-Coutinho

Playing a front 3 that free roam will stretch them and ensuring we constantly press they will play the ball long and we can get back at them.

I would have liked to play Can to give extra capability to shoot from distance if they sit on their own 18 yard line but he can be an option from the bench. Lucas will help with the constant balls to Fletcher in the air.

We really need to get a win there as it's the first away game of four and we need to get momentum.

He was very good for us yesterday and gave us that extra energy in midfield of which we've missed with Lucas playing recently. Agree on the one touch too many though, drives me mad

I'd keep the same team but with Benteke for wor Div obviously. I love Lucas but he stunk the joint out v Watford and Newcastle so in no rush to bring him back.

If we keep a clean sheet again here 2 posters are going to end up being sectioned. The bitterness is still oozing from every pore this morning!! Love it.

It's definitely a worry - they might decide to turn up after getting tonked yesterday

Yep. Can never be too expectant v these. Still have nightmares about our visit there when they were utterly hopeless and we managed to lose to a Michael ****ing Proctor goal! Then at Anfield they didnt have a shot, infact I dont think they even entered our half other than their kick off and Jurgen Macho decided to have the game of his life and they somehow got a 0-0. Think they went down that season with something stupid like 18 or 19 points and they got 4 of them from us!! -

              I hate Sunderland, man.

Leave Benteke on the bench, play Bobby as a false 9 and bring in Lucas so Henderson can play further forward.

Look to wrap it up after an hour so that we can use subs to rest players ahead of West Ham and Stoke.

I think Sturridge will start. He made a point of saying on twitter he's "good to go".

I really think that Benteke is a better option from the bench but I'm pretty certain that he'll start. He always seems to get the nod against the supposedly weaker teams. I guess of all the teams in the division Sunderland would seem the most susceptible to his strengths.

Can't see Sturridge starting but Klopp does appear to rather he get the first 45 rather than last 30 out of him.

Benteke is the only available forward for the trip to Sunderland on December 30th. #lfc* (Dom King)

Not surprised to be honest it is what I was expecting

it will have to be benteke.

im sure klopp will be telling him to go and show what hes got.

the option of firmino as the false nine means we are likely to be playing with 10 men and just get glimpses of the other lad for a few minutes here and there.
