Benteke ... what to do? Scores the winner in both games but misses other clear cut opportunities to put the game away. At least he's scoring. I'd like to see him be more clinical.

We deserved to win that by about 3.

Totally in control of the game from start to finish. Should have been out of sight by half time. Got the reward for our endeavour in the end.Yes it wasn't pretty but we haven't been taking chances lately and today was no different so the points are all that matters. Lots to work on the decision making end of things and our finishing.

No idea what game some of you were watching. Perhaps less posting in the match thread and more actually watching the game required

Benteke's pelters are justified but other players should be contributing goals too. Apart from Firmino, there's no other goal threat present, no gambling, no long shots, nothing.

We are winning ugly. This is good but we weren't too clever tonight, too many offensive players under performing.

Our defensive unit was good, with Lovren the pick for me. Can and Henderson/Lucus plenty of effort but lacking a bit of subtlety. Nothing positive from our attackers apart form further proof that Benteke is an instinctive finisher. He's the match winner though so fair play to him, Lallana and Coutinho were worse imo.

Hopefully Klopp brings in a face or two in January to pep things up a bit.
