A win is a win but we still have the market cornered on making ordinary opposition look good. Most dogged, well organised teams could squeeze a point out of us at the minute. It's just too easy.
But for what was more of a lucky deflection off Lallana than a true assist this would have been a 0.0 and a horse of a very different stripe here in the post match. Benteke literally did nothing until his smart finish, and he showed later with that one on one that he is plagued by the same sort of mental fragility as Heskey was imo. He can still turn it around as he has way better ability but he was a big fish who could hide in the small pond at villa and now he's struggling with increased scrutiny and expectations.
He wasn't the only culprit though in an attacking display absolutely shot through with inaccuracy and a glaring lack of composure, craft and guile.
Big positives are the mental fortitude shown against Sam's latest pub team ankle-hackers, solid defence and closing the gap to fourth.

      Whats wrong with that?

I think we're living to find offence in everything people say. This sort of thing isn't enough to demand debate IMO and shouldn't. Its a nothing statement. As an Englishman living in Wales I'd be on the phone to the police or in and out of HR every other day if I was soft enough to take offence to comments like that.

      Its getting ridiculous.

Referring to someone's nationality for no reason is a very slippery slope. It's not a case of finding offence in everything people say. It's a reference to someone's race for no reason. Are all Germans supposed to be hard? It's a lazy stereotype at best.

What is a lazy stereotype?! Being soft or hard? I'm not sure either is stereotypical of a German

Has anyone got a link to Fat Sam's interview? I watched Klopp last night but didn't see mention of the argument
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I think this was simply Sam making nothing out of the heated exchange they'd had earlier, that it was no big deal and that after the embrace the pair had at the end, he cooled things by saying that Jurgen was just a big soft German, as in lovable. I don't think it was soft as in "soft lad", nothing to do with a stereotype that all Germans are hard, which I've never heard of before.

Allardyce said: "There was some foul and abusive language towards my staff that I didn’t like."
Ah **** off you fat cunt. The pitchside mics picked up Allardyce effing and blinding through the whole game. Like he's bothered about swearing. ****ing hate him. **** you you fat prick. Can't wait til he gets relegated.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Pardew, Pulis and Sam are just peeved off that a foreigner came and took the job of a fellow LMA buddy.

I'm dreading the West Ham game a bit tbh, we are being decimated by injuries and the games are coming thick and fast, they are getting players back from injuries as well. We'll do well to avoid defeat there IMO.
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

That's odd, i thought he had a good record against us.

It was good until he became the new record breaker

Couldn't agree more more mate. I wonder if he'll ever end up captaining the side. He could be our VC in a few years once Milner & Lucas are gone or faded out.

He'll be playing for Bayern by then.
