Agreed re Henderson. Also anyone having a pop at him over his performance v United forgets he's played about 5 games all season so is inevitably rusty.

Henderson is the least of our worries.

I'm still pounding my head against the wall over how many times Emre Can gives the ball away or gets caught in possession. The kid has bags of talent and potential but **** me he brain farts quite a lot. Hope that's just his age.

Henderson would walk into Man City, Arsenal, Utd, and Chelsea's sides.

Madness to suggest otherwise, he's better than Delph, Fernando, Fernandiho, Coquelin, Flamini, Sweinsteiger, Schneiderlan, Mikel and on this season's form Matic.

We have some dross, quite a bit of it actually. Henderson isn't one of them.
Problem is the list above is full of nothing players. Henderson would probably top that list of nothing players. Hardly a glowing review.

But I agree with Shaggy, he's better than he showed against Utd and hopefully now he's over his injury he'll probably start assisting/scoring more regularly.
        One tit for another.

There's a fella who sits by me in the Upper Centenary, who shouts "Emre Can't!" every time he makes a mistake. The cunt started 15 minutes into the Utd game and never let up.

The lad's 22 and needs our support while he smooths the rough edges off of his game. He's definitely got talent, he just needs to relax, play his game and not try to force it. He could do with releasing the ball quicker though.

Just to add...I'm not having a pop at Henderson as such, i like, think he is a good player but he's not top draw

Where did I suggest any of the above?

I said he falls short as a talisman and a captain, that's all. Not that he isn't good enough full stop.

People really struggle to understand nuances of discussion here sometimes it seems.
              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Yeah thats my only problem with him.... better composure/understanding of when to release and when not to just **** it long to an empty corner of the pitch. Bags of talent though, going to be excellent as he gets older.

It's odd that lots of people who don't support the club think he makes a good captain. Drives the team on. But Liverpool fans tend to rate him as a good player, but not a great captain.

I think a lot is down to the fact that our last captain was probably the one of the two best players ever to be at the club. He casts a pretty long shadow I think.
                      *Except Michael, who died.

Henderson is great and we're lucky to have him.

He's never been able to shoot though. His energy and drive is great and we're a worse midfield when he's not in it….i just wish he wasn't on the end of chances, because he's got no composure at all.

Or maybe, just maybe some people disagree with your part of the discussion and offer a different view point.

Have you ever considered that you don't understand the nuances of other peoples opinions on the discussions?

P.S Who do you want as captain?
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Never have I seen a players performance levels swing so much from game to game and number of times now he has been both the best and worse player on the pitch
