Complete waste of time and money extending the capacity at the Etihad.

(Not that they don't have a lot of money to waste).

            Liverpool players sing Toure song

Joe Allen's interview competed with chants from exuberant players in the background.

Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen spoke to BBC Radio 5 live minutes after his side’s Capital One Cup semi-final penalty shoot-out victory over Stoke City. His interview competed with chants from exuberant team-mates in the background singing a popular song about Kolo and Yaya Toure.

The Welshman, who scored the winning penalty, said: "Sometimes it's more exciting to get through like this...it's not good for the stress, but the atmosphere afterwards was electric".

The Reds won 6-5 on penalties after Marko Arnautovic levelled the tie for Stoke in the first half. They will play Manchester City or Everton at Wembley on 28 February.

Think I'm far too far down the pecking order to get a ticket from the Chairman. He has 2 tickets and its often available for use and shared around but with him and at least 3 managers who would take it not going to have a chance!

He let the ball bounce because the guy in front (think it was Hendo) went to kick it and then stopped. It was all done in a split second, but its enough to cause doubt.

Thats the problem with our side. Nobody really seems on the same page yet and its causing mayhem in the penalty box

It's fun rewatching the penalties without biting the nails.

If it is the one I was thinking about I thought it was actually Toure's ball and he didn't go for and Sakho reacted too late meaning it bounced.

As you said there is no dominant person to take control of the situation. I remember when we first signed Lovren he was jumping into other players for "their" ball. A good settled back 4 & keeper who play together for long periods should put that to bed. We have no continuity in our defence which is another contributing factor to our problems there.
