Coutinho is not a wide player for me. His best work is in the middle. I'm probably overreacting here because of my emotions, but it's either him or Firmino next season for the AM position, because both are inconsistent, and neither offer much out wide.

big changes but definitely needed. Coutinho deeper in the CM instead of Can & Firmino at the tip of the diamond IMO.

Both have been very hit and miss this season though.

Firminho needs some quality around him and he'll flourish, but he needs to be more aggressive.

Back four is indeed dreadful.

Obviously disappointed but I never thought we would win today to be honest. I'm amazed we took them to penalties. Got Mignolet and Sterling to thank for that.

I can list players I thought played well and those I didn't but in the end it doesn't really matter.

I've said several times this season we have an average squad, first time in my memory that we haven't had a genuine world class star in the team.

I don't care if we buy one of seven players in the summer as long as one or two are genuine world class stars. One of two genuine stars can really lift the level of an average squad without needing to change them all.

Just want us to start every game with two up front. It's was Rodger's downfall and klopp doesn't seem to favour it. Time will tell.

No because it's obvious that he prefers a lone striker with a balanced midfield. His favoured formation is 4-2-3-1. He does alternate with a 4-3-3, but even then it's mostly one striker with wide players.
