Well the league doesn't matter so I think we should insult City by playing the academy plus Origi

          Jurgen Klopp news conference

Liverpool, ninth in the Premier League, entertain a Manchester City side on Wednesday that need to win to keep up their title hopes.

But Klopp is not too bothered, when asked about the title race.

"For us it is not too interesting, it is the truth, sadly," says Klopp. "I don't know who is the favourite, normally it is the team first in the table.

"We need to get some points and the game on Sunday showed it is possible for us to win against City and not think about the title. I don't worry about who can win the league, I only worry about how we can win tomorrow."

            Manuel Pellegrini news conference

Manuel Pellegrini's Manchester City side play Liverpool for the second time in four days whne they meet at Anfield in the Premier League.

City won the League Cup final on penalties on Sunday, and Pellegrini is expecting another tight clash.

“I don’t know how Liverpool will react, whether it’s revenge, we’re sure it will be tough game,” says Pellegrini, who also backs former Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling to rediscover his best form.

“I don’t know what will be the staring XI, but one player who I’m sure will start is Raheem Sterling. He’s a young man, young player, starting his career, and he knows how to deal with pressure.”

              Klopp on Mignolet

Klopp to Belgian TV: “Cool. I think you found a perfect moment to come here and ask about Mignolet.

“I would lie if I said the goal in the final was unstoppable but Simon knows this too. It is how it is.

“I’m not sure it’s a mistake but it was not perfect. And that’s how it is in a goalkeeper’s life.

“I cannot say nothing negative about Mignolet as a person - good boy, big personality, a lot of pressure. He’s old enough, he’s experienced enough and we have to go through it together.

“The biggest problem for Marc Wilmots [Belgium manager] is to pick an 11. That’s a cool job to be honest, and Simon is part of it.”

Klopp: “We always learn. After this short time, you cannot be sure. We could have played better in the first half, it was not bad, but it could have been better. Could we play like this from the beginning? If yes, then we ask why. Even though it is a final, I cannot make final judgements. That is not how life or football is.

“When we have to make decisions we have to make it with a lot of information. The final is only one of those. The difference in this game was not too big between winning and losing.”

Klopp on getting rid of players

Klopp: “I can’t make a final judgement on a players just because it was a final. I can’t say ‘I can trust him, I can’t trust him.’

“We only lost on penalties. I always learn about my players but not just on Sunday because it was a final.”

              Klopp on Flanagan

Klopp: “After a game, he needs one or two days to recover. That is not easy for him. Flanno is our boy and we will do everything to come together and hopefully it’s a positive solution on this side.

“There will be a few talks and we will see what will happen.”

              Klopp on Wembley

Klopp: “First of all, you have to analyse it. You cannot change the situation but take all the things from it. We can use the final experience, maybe, in another final. We saw we are capable of really good things, we had more than 60% possession against a football-playing side - although it was a little bit because of the result. We created a few chances, not enough with the possession, but a few.”

              Klopp on Wednesday's game

Klopp: “We can’t change what happened on Sunday by winning on Wed but we have to show that we are ready again. Long way to go this season.

“We did a lot of good things, just not enough. We proved we are strong. Now we need to do this tomorrow.”

              Klopp on Sakho

Klopp: “We had to make a decision on the sideline and it was the right one, but I have heard nothing on other effects. Daniel had cramp, but we’ve trained for just four hours. We’ll have to wait a few more hours.”

              More injury news

Klopp: “We have not too much news [on Sturridge and Sakho]. We only trained today for four hours.”

Are Man City favourites for the title?

An honest assessment from Jurgen, who says: “The title race for us is not really interesting. That is not the best news, but that is the truth.”

              Klopp on summer plans

Klopp: “We have to think about a lot of things (for the summer). We work the whole day. We have to plan for the future.”

Think he missed a trick there though by not saying Lallana showed great Man Strength when having a go at Yaya.....

To be fair the reason Firmino and Coutinho probably weren't at the races was because they hadn't been told for months they're both great technicians.

                        Something like -
                        Mingolet
                        Flanagan Caulker Lovren Smith
                        Milner Can Allen
                        Firmino Lallana
                        Origi
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Is Brad Smith fit? I'd give him a shot. Can't be any worse positionally than Moreno.

                            Origi
I'd love to see something like:

                            Mignolet
                            Flanagan - Kolo - Lovren - Smith
                            Milner - Allen
                            Ibe - Teixeira - Lallana
                            Origi

Just ring the changes and go full throttle, they have to rotate as well.
                            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Pick the highest energy team possible and get in to the cunts. Annoyingly they seem to have finally cottoned on to the fact they can't put Yaya in 2 v us and go toe to toe as we'd belt them. They actually played smart for once on Sunday, play a chess match and wait for our clanger that gifts them a goal which duly arrived and were a bit unlucky not to win in 90.

Need a win here before we face Wilfried Ronaldo and Yannick Messi on Sunday.
