Wasn't it pointed out that if we win, we're 6 points off 4th (who are Man City)? Goal difference is abysmal, but hey, if the players want to stay beyond this season, then they have to show fighting qualities. If they drop their heads, then they'll be out. (Just realised others are playing midweek too, but win our game in hand against Everton, and it keeps us up there).

      ----------Ward
      Clyne Toure Lucas Flanno
      --------Allen Can
      -Ibe --- Coutinho - Firmino
      -----------Origi

Is what I would play, Give Sturridge a break, bring him on at 60 mins or so to keep that match fitness going.
The times they are a changin'.

Lallana will almost certainly start this.

This season seems to be going on forever. I've lost all interest in it now. Just want to get to the summer and see what Klopp does in the window and go into yet another season in my adult life thinking "this will be our year!"

                  Can't argue with those sentiments.

Pity the only competition we're still in we're playing the one team our players consistently seem to freeze against. They on the other hand relish playing us

If we smash City in this game it will be history repeating itself. In 2012 we lost the FA Cup final to Chelsea then battered them a few days later at Anfield.

                  Very annoying

Tonight's huge for the rest of the league season. Win and we're 6 points off 4th with 11 games to go. And that's with a relatively fit squad and not a bad run-in either no matter how **** we've been at times this season. Lose and we're 12 points off and well out of it - may as well pick the kids and save it for the Europa.

Can't believe some of you are still clinging on to this mirage of 4th place. If its not Citys, its Utds, if its not Utds its Arsenals, if its not Arsenals its Spurs and if its not Spurs its Leicesters and its its not any them its West Hams!

I tend to agree, we are fighting for 6th now, the matches against United are so important now.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

With that logic there's no point ever turning up for a game...

Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
