[PL] Manchester City (H) : Post Match

Nothing like some good old inconsistency to frustrate the living **** out of you.

But, great performance, and a solid result.

    Top 4 anyone? .

Brilliant. If Lallana performs like that consistently then he's a regular first teamer for me. Superb stuff.

Excellent performance. Allbeit against a very average side, the fear factor that seems to surround them on internet forums baffles me, they are dog****, just makes the final more annoying.

Lallana was godly. Can is god. Kolo is god. Flanno is god. These are the games I like from Mignolet, the ones where he doesn't have to touch the ball!

Defending really well as a team at the moment, let's hope a certain centre back stays away.

Great result. City aren't very good at the moment though. Makes sundays result even more gutting.

Thought Lallana, Henderson and Milner played very well but it's happened before though and we revert back to form the next game. The key is consistency but really hoping this time we can keep this level of performance up as this will see us through vs the Mancs (Europa)

Defensively we have looked more solid when Skrtel's been out.

Had a crap stream but what I saw looked impressive. Lallana's best game in red?!

Part of me wishes we snuck a 1-0 because its just so frustrating how we can be so good one week and then its just like the players have a brain transplant come the next game.

Henderson played completely the opposite to how he did at the weekend, front foot, fast, aggressive, forward passes.

Milner and Lallana were both superb, not wasting my time saying if they can do this every week because they can't and i'll end up round the bend.

Emre Can was on it tonight, difficult conditions but he bossed it.

                      Kolo

                      Flanno

                      Where did Sterling go?

That was unbelievable. We just pissed all over them today. Now we need to slap palace and then Utd.

Played very well. Much easier to do when the pressure is off. Mignonette will never have an easier game. Some good performances.

Only concern is that neither of our forwards had a shot all night nor had anything at all created for them. Our midfield simply do not score enough to paper over that. I think we will still struggle to win more than half our remaining games.

Utd next. I can see them fluking 4th now.

City are melting like butter as Are-senal We can catch one of them!

I can only surmise that Lallana read that tweet about Klopp thinking about off-loading him and decided to put in a shift. Obviously he'll need to keep doing it but I liked the way he riled City a few times. Maybe he has found is inner cave man.

Origi was excellent as a front end nuisance, kept moving, being big. Not willing to be bullied. Sort of thing that doesn't win many plaudits but can be hugely effective if you have others working off his industry. Can likewise in the middle.

Coutinho was not missed and dare I say it the team looked quicker in the transition at times.

Lovren and Kolo mopped up well though its seemed to me that Aguero and Silva are both phoning it in somewhat.
