One of the most impressive balanced performances I can remember for a very very long time .. Solid .. everywhere, very few mistakes, commitment and some lovely decision making, not taking the easy option, brave on the ball. Just brilliant and Flanno ... what a player he is .. absolutely love him, by far my fav player at the club by some distance

Tough no nonsense and direct, love everything about his game.

Great great game of football ... happy as a pig in **** today

The aim has to be to go unbeaten now til the end of the season. See where that lands us.

Yeah if we play like that vs United we'll beat them, unfortunately we are a Jekyll & Hyde team and you just don't know what you're going to get.

It's weird. Messaged me mate to hassle him about the 7-1 aggregate. His response was about us having no cups. I just replied "You'd rather have the 3 points tho" which he agreed.

Obv we'd rather have the silverware but if you're competing for the league / trying get into the CL, shows how devalued the domestic cups have become.
              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I love the joyful expression Henderson gives after Flanagan destroys Sterling, then claps.

This maybe a bit controversial but I feel that it was due to us playing Sturridge up front on Sunday was the reason why we were unable to press City like we did yesterday, last night we hunted in packs, whereas Sunday we sat back a lot more, when we press we need everyone to do it and I just don't think Daniel has that in his legs yet after so long out.

I think it was just as much about how often he dropped deep looking for the ball. Part of that is the time he has been out - too much eagerness to be involved all the time.

I don't think you necessarily have to be charging about to be part of a pressing team - intelligent positioning particularly as a striker can be just as useful at cutting out angles and forcing mistakes from the opposition. It has been a real problem for a lot of our strikers in recent times that they tend to come too deep and compress our play and also don't fully help the press. Origi being both mobile and willing to stay up top is actually an excellent fit for how we want to play IMO.
