Daniel Sturridge is in line to start the first leg tie against Villareal. (Paul Joyce)

Christian Benteke travelling to Villarreal. (@carlmarkham)

Benteke returned to full training this week and is in contention for a place on the bench. Ojo, Brannagan, Chirivella have also travelled.

IF Klopp wins this bloody thing it will be a tremendous effort in light of the injuries and Sakho and what not.

          Mig
          Clyne - Lovren - Kolo - Moreno
          Lucas - Allen
          Milner - Coutinho - Lallana
          Sturridge
          Or swap Lallana for Firmino.

We're going to need legs, lots of them, so Lallana might be the better option. Villareal seem to work hard, not that Dortmund were lazy buggers, and will look to frustrate which means little support for Bukumbu. I'd prefer we play without Firmino as there's only so many times we can give the ball away before we're severely punished. Having Coutinho, who does similar, is enough of a threat - at both ends.
            One tit for another.

Yeah, I agree, Firmino might be a better option off the bench when Lallana tires.

Firemen would be better up front on his own IMO.

Sludge doesnt work hard enough, we'll need to have more running in the away leg. He can start at home

Why does he need to work hard against a counter attacking team? He needs to score goals and not give the ball away.

were not in the best shape for this game. our first choice central defender is a crackhead, our two first choice central midfield players are out, origi is also out and now our goalie has taken a turn for the worse.

Villareal are a very good team but we need to get something from the away leg.

I'd be trying to fit Firmino and Sturridge in. Studge is a genuine worry for any side and Firmino has that rare ability of popping up and nicking a goal.
