Our home form is better than theirs, and their away from is better than ours. However our away form is much more worse than their home is better than ours... did that make sense?

They also have a much better record against the other top 4 sides than us.

Hello by the way Forum junkie

We've dropped 3 points v Everton, 1 point v Bolton and 2 points v Blackburn, however if you switch Birmingham at Home from last season for Reading at home this season, then we gain 2 points, and takes our losses down to 4 points.

A win against anyone we lost to at home last season, or two wins in place of 2 draws, providing we can sort our away form out to last seasons standard, will put us exactly were we were last season.

So it's not totally unrealistic, to think we're going to make at least top three/four, lets see how we go in the run up to christmas, eh before all the doom and gloom. Because we haven't really done anything unexpected, appart from maybe the loss to Everton. And the manners of some of the defeats have been hard to take, but I contribute that partly to the run we've had, I;ve a feeling we're due an upturn in our fortunes .
The problem with this is that we're supposed to be a team thats improving, a steady climb up the table, a reduction in the points difference between the top and us. It hasn't happened, and on the first quarter its even worse than this stage last year.

I don't like all this "if this" and "if that" as an argument, its nonsense.

We can still end up in the CL next season, that is by no means out of question, however, the simple fact of the matter is we have gone backwards this season. I was hoping to see us within 10 points of the Chavs.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Sometimes you have to backwards to go forwards, teams do have blips you know, expecially a team trying to settle in 6 new players, look at Arsenal last season, I'm sure their fans weren't best pleased.
