Getting back to the game, when i saw the line up i thought that Milner - Can in centre midfield was a disaster waiting to happen but we played so much higher up the pitch that it worked fine. Emre Can in his first game back from injury was brilliant. Really class. I thought he showed real leadership on the pitch - which was great to see.

Firmino was brilliant. That time he made a dickhead out of Soldado (who i never knew was such a cunt) was pure class. Danny Ings posted something on facebook along the lines of "imagine how good he will be next year" and i think that is a good thought. Although there have been times where i have watched firmino live at anfield and thought "****in hell man, get stuck in" it is easy to forget that he is in his first season at LFC, first season in england and he should be much much better next season....

Also, Sturridge. What was great to see was his work rate. He actually missed a good few sitters, he took a few shots when he should have passed, and he was lucky that his goal actually went in. BUT......his workrate is there. He actually looked like he gave a ****. I think Klopp's management of Sturridge has been ****in amazing. When Sturridge first came back, it was Klopp that told him he needed to do a full pre-season without breaking down before being welcomed back into the first team training. Genius. If Michael Owen had the same management all those years ago he probably wouldn't have been washed up by the time he should have been reaching his peak..... Sturridge is now looking sharp, looking fit, might not be automatically viewed as the main man at LFC any more, but you know what, all the smoke blown up his arse by Brendan Rodgers finally being dispersed isn't such a bad thing either. Sturridge was most effective when he was a hungry player being the support act to Suarez anyway......and Klopps integration of Origi will make Sturridge a much better player for us too. You never know, maybe the next phase in Klopps "Operation Hungry Strikers" is to integrate Benteke to the squad as well?!?!???
