Yeah I'll pass on those tickets Fierce! I'm looking at 400 quid for return flights to Geneva and train to Basel plus a hostel for the night if I decide to go. No way I'd be dropping that sort of money for a ticket too!

I have registered in the ballot for tickets and also entered tonight's euromillions just in case

Can't believe that as a season ticket holder, signed up for the auto cup scheme and been to all 7 home games that I have virtually no chance of getting a ticket. Each Thursday night has involved a 6 hour round trip up and down the ******* M6.

Lol, I reckon I'll get the ballot on my fan card, two aways and all homes, although all not by me inc ST. The fella who has my ST and EL homes cant go.

My trip will be LAX, LHR then STR plus train. Fingers crossed I can post it as expenses to LHR

I'm hoping that the Swiss have their heads screwed on and at least have a big screen for the thousands outside the stadium. Just imagine, there could be more fans watching outside than in the stadium!!

I took a leap of faith and booked an easyjet flight for £65 the morning after the first leg win against Man Utd, so will go anyway.

I watched Istanbul in Liverpool. Eventually managed to get into a snooker club which was packed. Went nuts when we won it.

I've just seen this is only on BT sport , I thought that the European finals were on terrestrial TV, when did this change?

When BT got the rights I think I read that they would show the CL and EL finals free to air.

Edit: Had a good google and can't find any mention of it. Maybe it was supposition from media commentators at the time, or just a bluff. Or maybe senility is overcoming me faster than I realized. QED.
