Another important goal today for Tekkers & he must be on the bench for the final.

Lack of width.

nothing else to say but this. our front 4 of Sturridge, Phil, Bob, Ad on paper is great but it shouldnt be Sturridge coming wide. Firminio and Coutinho for all their skill, lack a lot tactically and positionally constantly thru the middle.

Chelsea like Vilareal in the first leg, compact in the middle. Width we were crying for and it takes a lad who couldn't get a game for Wolves to provide it and get the goal.

I like Volland as a player, but would not really regard him as the sort that provides great width. He cuts inside a hell of a lot to get the ball onto his left foot.


Mind you if we can get him I would be chuffed. He had a great on pitch relationship with Firmino, and he is very attack minded.

Sturdy player as well as having a lovely balance to his play. Whilst nowhere near the same level of quality he reminds me a little of Suarez in that his build makes him look shorter than he is and in how he looks so comfortable receiving the ball in tight situations, not to mention his willingness to go for goal when other players would still be thinking about what to do next.


For me I think he would be an upgrade on Lallana. Clever player, good skills, able to play in a number of attacking positions but with more pace than Lallana and more likely to take a risk in the final third.
