Goal every 159 minutes in the PL.

No reason we shouldn't get the majority of our cash back for him.

A EL final goal would be nice to add to the CV too.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I'm not a big fan of Benteke as an all round player, but his goalscoring record for us isn't that bad: 10 goals in 19 starts and 20 sub appearences (many of which are for only 10-15mins). If we were happy with a player primarily having a role of coming off the bench when we need a goal maybe he would suit that - if it's something he is happy to do, you could argue that it is a useful role, personally I think I would rather cash in and use the money to get someone who could improve the starting 11 (assuming we can get a decent fee). I guess it ultimately depends on what Klopp thinks he might be able to do with him.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Arguably though, other than fresh legs, there's no a huge gain in having a similar type of player on the bench when you're hunting a goal. If we sell Benteke then we need to look for another player of his type and I'm not sure it's the player that is the problem rather than the way we like to play narrow.

A number of those wooden seats were intended to be installed in the concourse of the new stand:

A site visit today gave a detailed look at how the whole thing will fit together and the roll the separate floors will play.

The concrete floors for the highest seats in the new stand have been evident for a few weeks and today the first red seats were put into place.

The top level of seats are on level six and the Main Stand stretches 40m (131 feet) into the air, almost twice the height of the existing stand.

Luckily for fans, escalators will take them up to every floor in the development.

For now the level six seats look down on the roof of the current Main Stand but it will witness just three more games before demolition begins shortly after the final home game of the season against Chelsea on Wednesday, May 11.

The club will first remove the seats in the current stand – and install them into a central seating area for fans on one the concourses as a permanent reference to the existing stand – before work to take it down will begin.

It will be conducted from pitch side with the pitch protected during a process which is expected to take five weeks based on two shifts.

New floodlights are also part of the project and can already be seen in the ground.
            Oh I don't know.

Our opponents know they can condense the play and nullify us. If we had a genuine threat from crosses then this would stretch the opposition more giving a two fold benefit - more space for your Couts and Firmies and provided the threat in the box that we lack. I think this can be achieved without having to revert to a long ball target man style. His contributions should all be inside the area imo
Milner is one of the finest crossers of the ball we've had in ages from the wing (as long as the ball is moving apparently!) and Moreno can whip one in when he remembers what he's supposed to be doing

The issue is the big **** is hardly ever where a massive target like him SHOULD be. You're right in that his contributions should be inside the box, it's just the dolt is never there

He strikes me as a bit thick personally, which is in stark contrast to the players that have flourished under Klopp
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

                  He has zero football intelligence

Last night highlighted the two big issues for me:

1). Sturridge's movement. He is dropping far too deep for me, and when he does, one of Firmino, Coutinho, or Lallana, should have the intelligence to move into the vacated space and act as a temporary focal point to move the ball into.

2). Lack of width. This is why I think any signings along the lines of Gotze or Pastore will not be for a wide position, but for the No.10 role, and that the a proper winger will be targeted. We needed to stretch Chelsea, and they knew that all they had to do, was park the bus, because our passing and movement were way off.

We also lacked pace and quickness of our passing last night

I'm not sure I'd read much into last night - do you really think they were "into" that game?

...I've wasted too much of my life posting about him.
Not disagreeing, he's been ****e here but is a much better player than has showed. He'll be good with someone else, just not suite for us.

No, mostly they looked like they were taking it easy, avoiding injury. Understandable really.

While I agree with what you are saying I think alot of it comes down to the business we want to do in the summer, while I don't like looking at the side from a financial point of view I do think that if we can get ~£25m+ for Benteke that is good business and I would be optimistic that Klopp would invest that wisely and we could improve the team significantly. But it depends on how much money we have to spend if the owners only give us £20m plus sales to improve the squad them it would be foolish not to consider cashing in £25m for Benteke. If the owners are happy to back us significantly and we aren't so desperate for cash then we should consider keeping him as an option from the bench. I just see the latter being a luxary we probably can't afford.

Ojo playing a direct first time ball was crucial. This wasnt happening with ibe, lallana or firmino. Can only remember milner smashing one into the box.
